FST benches heard several complaints filed by FBR employees during 2nd week of Jan

ISLAMABAD: Three division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal held the hearing of a number of service complaints during second week of January.

The FST benches comprised Syed Rafique Hussain and Nazir Saeed; Syed Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi; Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi. These benches heard complaints filed against the Federal Board of Revenue by its own employees.

Syed Rafique Hussain and Nazir Saeed heard cases filed by M Zaman, M Waheed, Abdul Ghafoor, Muhammad Arshad Rahim, Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani, Muhammad Arif and Attique Ahmed Abbasi.

Abdul Ghafoor had filed a review petition; Muhammad Arshad Rahim had filed a petition about ‘withholding of two annual increments’; Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani had filed petition seeking correction in judgment; Muhammad Arif and Attique Ahmed Abbasi and others on various other administrative acts of FBR.

Muhammad Zaman had filed his case recently in 2016. He had submitted a case seeking interim relief same as of the case filed by Muhammad Waheed.

The bench also heard cases submitted by Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani, who had filed a complaint regarding provision of special allowance; Aftab Ahmed Razzqi, who had filed matter carrying matter relating to ‘seniority’; while Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal, who had filed complaints on un-granted ‘promotion’ by the FBR administration.  They had asked the tribunal to ensure their promotion at higher scales as per rule of department.

Hearing the aforementioned cases, the bench issued fresh directives to the counsels for provision of documents and details of similar cases.

Another FST bench comprised Syed Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi dated in office hearing of complaints filed by Muhammad Shakeel Akhtar, Tariq Masood, Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi, Syed Salahuddin Gillani, Khalid Hameed and others cases raising questions regarding ‘antedatin’ promotion, seniority, and financial incentives to the employees.

Muhammad Ferozuddin, another appellant, had filed an Implementation matter which was pending before the tribunal since 2014. He had prayed the tribunal to redirect the board on implementing on FST’s old decision about his promotion

Another bench of FST comprising of Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi heard some other case pending before it since months.

Among these cases, Muhammad Arshad had submitted a complaint about ‘Implementation’ over FST earlier given decision; and Shaukat Hussain had filed ‘complaints on ‘promotion’.

The benches, after hearing initial submissions, adjourned hearing of cases till next month. FST administration would set the new dates of hearing for the said cases. The benches would resume hearing of said cases in coming week.
