FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate will conduct auction of impounded vehicles and others smuggling goods on January 17. During the auction of 82 different lots of seized goods including 12 vehicles and 70 others confiscated items will be presented for auction on January 17.
All these vehicles and others items were seized by the Customs Anti smuggling Organization and Field Investigation Unit Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhang, and ASO Sara-e- Muhajir during anti smuggling activities in the region.
Sources told Customs Today, the Customs Collectorate will present 12 non duty paid vehicles for public auction, including Toyota Corolla, Toyota Premio, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Land Cruiser, Fork Lifter, Toyota Vitz, Mitsubishi Pajero Intercooler, Toyota Hilux double cabin dala, Toyota Passo.
Besides, 70 lots including used tyres of different brand, 95 units of laser jet cartridge (Japan), 9 units of electric cables with connector, dry batteries, 135 units of plastic toys, 350 kilogram of mini capacitor, fans, 1,200 kg of cotton yarn, 1687 kilograms of silk cloth, battery operated toys, Indian origin black tea, Samsung brand LED TV in different model and series, foreign origin motorcycle tyres and tubes and other confiscated items will be auctions.
Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair will supervise the auction process, while Superintendent Muhammad Javed, UDC Khadim Hussain will supervise the auction process. The Customs Collectorate is presenting all those vehicles and various goods after conclusion of seizure cases.
The Customs Intelligence authorities are trying to generate more revenue before the end of the on-going fiscal year 2016-17.
