Customs Appraisement West earns Rs7.5m through auction

KARACHI: Customs Appraisement West earned Rs 7.5 million through auction of seized consignments at National Logistic Cell container terminal in December 2016.

According to details, Chief Collector Rasheed Sheikh instructed Collector Ahaad Jawwad to conduct auction of seized consignments at NLC container terminal. The auction may help to achieve revenue collection target as well as create a breathing space at NLC container terminal.

Collector Ahaad Jawwad followed instructions conducted auction of 6 impounded vehicles as well as other items under the supervision of Deputy Collector Faisal Sahu during the month of December. The items other than vehicles presented for auction include plastic dana, electric motors, solar AC, solo cooker and other miscellaneous items.

The auction of above said items and vehicles generated Rs 7.5 million in revenue and helped the department to achieve revenue target. Chief collector lauded the department’s performance and congratulates the team.
