Islamabad Dry Port collects Rs 489.972m in 15 days

ISLAMABAD: Customs dry port collected Rs 489.972 million from January 1 to January 15, 2017 under head of customs duty and other duty taxes.

Assistant Collector Dry Port Amanat Ali Khan told Customs Today that despite ‘non-serious’ strategies of Railways, the Customs Department is managing to achieve the assigned target for month of January.

He said that the dry port collected Rs 183.778 million under the head of customs duty as for as Rs 306.194 million under head of all duties and taxes during above said period.

Amanat Ali said that dry port collected Rs 462.094 million under head of all duties and taxes during month of December FY 2016-17 as for as the dry port collected Rs 559.592 million during month of November FY  2016-17.

He added that during month of October FY 2016-17 the dry port collected Rs 415.385 million in head of all duty and taxes as for as Rs 416.381 million revenue in month of September, Rs 809.402 million revenue in month of August and Rs 348.868 million revenue during month of July FY 2016-17.
