Customs Court approves physical remand of two female smugglers

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling adjourned hearing of a case filed against two females suspects who are involved in smuggling of 14 kilogram gold and currency from Multan International Airport.

Sources told Customs Today that, a few days ago, the customs team recovered 14 kilogram gold from two females in the shape of jewelry along with huge quantity of foreign currency.

It is necessary to mention here that earlier Customs Special Judge Chaudhry Ameer Muhammad Khan rejected their bail plea and approved physical remand.

Meanwhile, Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry visited the under construction site of the NAB Headquarter at Sector G-5/1 Islamabad and review the physical progress and inspect the quality of work.
