LAHORE: A special customs judge has imposed Rs 600,000 fine on three smugglers on Friday.
During hearing of a smuggling case, Abdul Hakeem, Gul Zaman and Muhammad Hanif confessed to their crime before the court. The special judge imposed Rs 200,000 fine each.
The smugglers were involved in smuggling of plastic raw material and tar from Afghanistan via Peshawar to Lahore. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation officials impounded the smuggled material worth Rs 4.4 million.
