LHC seeks reply from IR Commissioner in sales tax case

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) seeks reply from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in case of sales tax collection from steel industry through electricity bills. Court also stopped the sales tax collection from steel industry through electricity bills.

The counsel of appellant Mahmood Ur Rasheed argued before the court that the sales tax collection on steel industry through electricity bills is already declared illegal. Besides court orders the sales tax included in the electricity bills.
