FIA arrests human trafficker

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Islamabad on Thursday unearthed a network of fake visas and passports and nabbed an agent involved in human trafficking.

The agent namely Muhammad Saddique s/o Ghulam Sarwar, resident of Narowal, was arrested from Sector I-10 near Sabzi Mandi area of Federal Capital. Case has been registered and further investigation was in progress.

According to FIA here, the Agency had launched a special campaign against human traffickers under directions of Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and constituted special teams to curb the crime.

From the agent, FIA recovered five fake Malaysian Visa Stickers, one fake passport and other fake supporting documents including stamps and allied items from custody of arrested agent.

The Agency, under the campaign, also arrested seven persons from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad. Adnan Azhar, Amer Sajjad, Rizwan Ansar and Muhammad Akram from Gujrat were arrested as they were travelling to Tunis on Entry Paper Visa (Color Copy) by TK-711. They were offloaded due to suspected fake entry visa. Shafqat Ali Cheema Passport No. AZ-4155612 was travelling to Germany by flight No. QR633. His name was included in Exit Control List (ECL).

The other person arrested was Khurram Shahzad, Passport No. ND-5142562. He was travelling to Greece via Bahrain by flight No. GF771 and having fake visa.

The FIA also offloaded 12 passengers from Airport who were traveling abroad with incomplete travel documents. They included Rafaqat Hussain, resident of Khurram Agency, who was travelling to United Arab Emirates (UAE) on visit visa by ED- 230. He was offloaded due to no hotel booking/insufficient funds.

Javed Iqbal was offloaded due to no hotel booking/insufficient funds and he was travelling to UAE on visit visa by NL-551. Qamar Islam, resident of Narowal was travelling to UAE on

visit visa by PK-211. He was offloaded due to no hotel booking/insufficient funds. Junaid Zeb and Muzaffar Ali, resident of Abbotabad were travelling to Belarus on study visa by TK-711. They were offloaded due to poor quality/not visible copy of university letter and insufficient funds.

Qamar Aslam, Passport No.KH.1803751 and Arslan Iqbal Passport No. RV.1333432 was offloaded. They were travelling to Dubai having Visit Visas but without any hotel bookings and sufficient funds.

Two persons – Xianbao Passport No.E.09923871 and Hu Daqiang Passport No.E.29377944 were offloaded. They were travelling to China on Chinese passports and offloaded due to overstay in Pakistan for more than two months.  Visas/Exit Permits were required.

Mushtaq, Passport No. BW.4199502 was offloaded. He was travelling to South Africa on Student Visa but without any Invitation Letter of concerned university.

Khalid Hussain, Passport No. DZ.6899983 was travelling to Dubai having Visit Visa. His Visa was not Ok to Board in airline system. Thus he was offloaded. Nisar Sarwar, Passport No.CW.5999961 was travelling to Dubai on Permanent Residence Visa. His Passport was damaged and was offloaded.
