TORKHAM: An Afghan national was arrested as the Khasadar force foiled an attempt to smuggle gold from Pakistan to Afghanistan through Torkham border.
According to details, Naib Tehsildar Khasadar Force Shams-ul-Islam said that the Khasadar troops during routine checking stopped an Afghanistan returned empty truck for examination near Torkham border. During inspection, they found 12 kg gold concealed in tools box of the truck.
Shams-ul-Islam said that the arrested truck driver was sent to jail for further interrogation.
