KIEV: According to Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, in 2016 131.746 MMT of cargos were handled in Ukrainian seaports, which was 8.8% less than in 2015. That was caused by considerable reduction of ore (-22.6%), coal (-32.9%) and ferrous metals (-8.5%) turnover, reports UkrAgroConsult. Cargo turnover structure in seaports has changed. For the first time ever grain handling came in the first place among all cargos handled in ports in 2016. This may be explained by the fact that ore lost nearly 4% in total handling structure in Ukrainian seaports in 2016. Ore handling declined to 32.707 MMT.
