Rs 1.84b utilised in 917 development schemes

SARGODHA: Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chatha has stressed the concerned officials to expedite work at all ongoing development projects and said no compromise on quality of construction will be tolerated.

Chairing a meeting here on Saturday to review the ongoing work at development schemes, he said that merit would be ensured.

The meeting was informed that total Rs 3.25 billion were allocated for the 917 development schemes out of which Rs 1.84 billion had been spent so far while Rs 2.88 billion funds were released till December 31, 2016.

Under annual district development program Rs 240.47 million funds were released and Rs 90.48 million were utilized while under Pak Millennium Development Goals (PAK-MDGs) and Public Sectors Development Projects (PSDP) an amount of Rs 50.77 million were spent on 11 development schemes, the meeting was told.

It was also informed that under the Prime Minister Sustainable Development Goals (PMSDG) program Rs 830.57 million were estimated for 573 development schemes in district Sargodha while Rs 450.23 had been allocated for the 422 schemes for provision of electricity. A total, Rs 200.80 million have been allocated for the 126 schemes of Municipal Corporation while Rs 700.54 million has been allocated for 25 infrastructure schemes.

An amount of Rs 50.68 million has been released for the development work of general bus stand from which waiting rooms, halls, offices, toilets and street lights to be installed, the meeting was informed.
