Faisalabad Excise generates Rs9.139m cotton fee in six-month

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department collected R 9.139 million as cotton fee during first six  months (July-December) of current fiscal year 2016- 2017 by achieving 34 percent of the assigned target for the year.

The government gave Rs26.530 million target to the Faisalabad region in wake of cotton fee. The excise has collected Rs1.44 million as cotton fee from Faisalabad region against the yearly target of Rs4.065 million, which has been achieved by 36 percent so far.

As per the details, Jhang Excise collected Rs885,959 by marking 21 percent achievement of the target that is Rs4.31  million.

However, the Chiniot Excise collected Rs168,380 under the head of cotton fee against the assigned target of Rs986,604 for the year and achieved 17 percent of the target.

The Toba Tek Singh Excise collected Rs6.63 million against the assigned target of Rs17.16 million for the year and achieved the target by 39 percent.
