DHAKA: The 12th Dhaka International Plastics, Packaging and Printing Industry Fair and the 12th Bangladesh International Foodtech and Bakery Industry Fair, dubbed together as ‘IPF-2017′, are scheduled to run during February 15-18 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.

More than 400 exhibitors and an estimated total of over 11,000 trade visitors are expected to help galvanise the annual event being organised by the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association (BPGMEA), Chan Chao International Company Limited and Yorkers’ Trade and Marketing Service Company Limited.

Reportedly, exhibitors from 14 countries and regions including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, Thailand and Vietnam are joining this year’s events.

The exhibitors will use 1,250 sqm more in exhibition space this time compared to the IPF-2016 for showcasing a wide range of industrial machinery, materials and finished products covering all related industrial sectors.

Organizers said the IPF-2017 as the largest annual platform for plastics, printing, packaging, and food processing sectors is a must-visit extravaganza for the country’s industrial entrepreneurs seeking to upgrade their production facilities and productivity as it’ll help them grasp the latest industrial developments and market trends.

As the only integrated trade show for plastics, printing, packaging and food processing sectors of  Bangladesh, IPF has kept moving forward since its first edition back in 2006, they said, adding, more international exhibitors have been registered this year with higher number of professional trade visitors estimated at the IPF-2017.
