Dhaka Customs recovered gold bars hidden inside shoes

DHAKA: Four gold bars found hidden inside the slippers of a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka.

According to details, the passenger, Awlad Hossain, was arrested after he landed at 9pm through a flight from Sharjah. The preventive team of the customs stopped him at the airport’s green channel and found the gold bars hidden in the sole of his slippers, said Dhaka Customs House’s Assistant Commissioner SM Ahsanul Kabir.
