DC Sulman Ghani to review construction of high drain at Khurianwala-Jaranwala Road

FAISALABAD. Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Sulman Ghani along with NESPAK officials will personally visit Khurianwala-Jaranwala Road to address reservations of industrialists regarding construction of 4 feet high drain along this road.

A delegation headed by President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Engineer. Muhammad Saeed Sheikh met DC Faisalabad in his office here and informed him that this construction may disturb the topography of the entire region and hence the plinth level of existing factories may kindly be maintained. He also demanded immediate remedial measures required to resolve this issue on sustained basis and in best interest of the public at large.

The delegation was comprised of Mian Ajmal Farooq, Chairman Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA), Mian Shehzad Sami of Arshad Group and Hafiz Enghineer Ihtisham Javed, Chairman All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA).

President FCCI further told that if the specifications of the said drain have been finalized, even then the factory owners on the other side of this drain must be allowed to drain out their water affluent through pumping into this drain.  “In this connection at least 4 to 5 road cuts at appropriate distance should also be allowed”, he said and added that Khurrianwala- Jaranwala road is used for heavy trailers. Hence the bearing capacity of this road should be at least 60 MT. He thanked Deputy Commissioner for his patient hearing and told that Mr. Sulman Ghani along with NESPAK officials will personally visit this road at 11.00 am on Wednesday 8th Feb, 2017.
