Denmark stocks higher on the closing of trade on Monday

COPENHAGEN: Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.47% to hit new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV (CO:DSV), which rose 2.69% or 9.2 points to trade at 351.5 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 1.67% or 190 points to end at 11550 and Nets A/S (CO:NETS) was up 1.61% or 1.90 points to 120.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which fell 0.76% or 2.1 points to trade at 276.0 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) declined 0.75% or 2.2 points to end at 292.2 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was down 0.26% or 1.1 points to 422.8.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged.

Shares in DSV (CO:DSV) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.69% or 9.2 to 351.5. Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.67% or 190 to 11550.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.82% or 0.98 to $52.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.06% or 1.17 to hit $55.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 10.55 to trade at $1225.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.38% to 7.0149, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4369.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 100.99.
