Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 12 important cases

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal bench-II, comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Technical Member Imran Tariq, heard 12 cases on Tuesday and adjourned all of them until the next hearing.

The cases heard include Customs Faisalabad versus Kamal Textile, Customs Faisalabad versus sweety Textile, Customs Lahore versus Maxi Inch, Abid Shah versus Faisalabad and Javid Khan versus Customs Faisalabad.

On Tuesday, Customs Appellate Tribunal heard cases including Abdul Razaq versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujrat, Muhammad Eziz Sohail versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujrat.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard the cases of Kashif Malik versus Customs Multan, Customs Lahore versus A.I Corporation, Shaukat Soap versus Post clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore, Abdul Rehman Junaid versus Customs Sambrial and Awais Kamboh versus Collector Sambrial.

In all the cases, counsels for appellants appeared before the court and presented arguments. After hearing the arguments from all the parties, the tribunal member reserved verdict in two cases of Shaukat Soap versus PCA Lahore and Muhammad Eziz Sohail versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujrat. All other cases’ hearings were adjourned for next dates.

On Monday, Customs Appellate Tribunal also heard 12 cases including Gulistan Textile versus Customs Multan, Customs Faisalabad versus Safder Khan, Gogha Shahbaz versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Azhar Hussain versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

The tribunal also heard cases of M. S Amina Khan versus customs Lahore, Reliance Weaving versus Customs Multan, Abdul Ghaffar versus Directoratr Multan Unit D.G Khan, Salman Butt versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore and Customs Multan versus Abdul Rani.
