Quetta Customs impounds smuggled goods, vehicles valued millions of rupees

KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence Quetta has impounded smuggled goods, vehicles and narcotics in several actions.

On the directions of Director General Shaukat Ali, Director Quetta Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan formed a team headed by Deputy Director Inamullah Wazir. The team took possession of smuggled vehicles Toyota Mark-X, Toyota Fielder, trucks and oil tankers. Moreover, about 260000 liters smuggled diesel, 700 kg hashish, cigarette cartons, blankets, tyres, gutka and electronics worth millions of rupees were also seized.

It may be mentioned here that Customs Intelligence Quetta confiscated smuggled goods worth Rs450million in two months. During this month, Customs Intelligence Quetta seized more smuggling items including huge quantity of Iranian diesel and petrol, luxury vehicles, hashish, digital cameras, smuggling vehicles, mobiles and Indian Gutkha.

Director Quetta Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan vowed to end smuggling at all costs from the country.
