DUBAI: Dubai Customs received accreditation from Global Innovation Institute (GII) on its innovations: the (Enterprise Connected View) and the (Enterprise Capability Management). This is indicative of Dubai Customs’ persistence to revolutionize the way customs work is done.  The Global Innovation Institute is an international organization providing professional membership associations and certifications in the field of Innovation. Dubai Customs spares no effort to instill the culture of innovation amongst its people and make it a daily practice, thus turning challenges into opportunities. This is clear in the UAE moving up 6 ranks on the global innovation index in 2016 to top the Arab countries and settle on the 41st place worldwide. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs extoled the achievement when he received the business innovation team in the presence of Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Division at Dubai Customs, Anthony Miles, CEO, GII, and Hussam Juma, Director, Business Innovation Department.  “This is the fruit of our relentless efforts in developing our services to meet and go beyond the international standards, and this helped us gain the top place in the Middle East and the 4th place worldwide, according to the international competitiveness report 2016” Musabih said.  Hussam Juma attributed these two accreditations to the hard work and sincere efforts of the team at the Business Innovation Department.  “We are always on the lookout for the latest and most advanced practices. All certificates available through GII reflect the most current methods, trends, and strategies in innovation leadership. These are continually updated to the latest internationally-recognized practices across the many domains of innovation” Juma added.
