The suggestion was put forwarded by the administration of Peshawar Customs House along with recommendations, which approved by the Federal Bureau of Revenue in conference of collectors.

The Customs House Peshawar was established in 1974 which was aimed to discourage smuggling activities through Pak-Afghan border however later after collection at dry ports and Peshawar airport additional responsibility was handed over to the custom house Peshawar.

It is pertinent to mentioned here that after division of the house in two separate units will improve the revenue collection as both the units will develop competition to overpass their revenue targets.
