Customs Appellate Tribunal hears 50 important cases

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal heard 50 cases on Monday. The members of all the benches from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar heard cases at Lahore bench and adjourned all the cases until next hearing. Chairman Customs Appellate Tribunal established special benches to decide the cases.

The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s special division bench, comprising Member Judicial Bench-II Karachi and Member Technical Bench-II, adjourned 12 cases of O.S Crop versus Customs Lahore, Ikram International versus Customs Lahore, Pak Precise and Technibiz verus Customs Lahore, Collector Customs Sambrial versus Service Independent, Punjab Arms versus Customs Lahore, Director PCA Lahore versus Super Asia Motors, K.D Enterprises versus Customs Lahore, Hamza Traders and Umer Hayat versus Customs Lahore and Shakir Ullah versus Director Lahore.

Special Division Bench-Lahore Member judicial Omer Arshed Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq heard the cases of Tahir Rauf versu Intelligence Faisalabad, Directorate Lahore versus Shaukat Ali, Aamir Muhammad Khan versus Zulfiqar Pathan versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Farhad Ali versus Directorate Multan, Faheem Traders versus Customs Lahore, Kashif Malik versus Customs Multan, two cases of Sitara Textile versus customs Lahore, Awais and Shaoib versus PCA Lahore, customs Lahore versus Omer Lal and Tasleem Brothers versus Directorate Multan.

Chairman Customs Appellate Tribunal Justice Malik Manzoor Hussain and Member Technical Bench-I Karachi heard 24 cases including Collector Customs Lahore versus Riaz Bottlers, six cases of Riaz Bottlers versus Custom Lahore, two cases of Collector Customs Lahore versus Riaz Bottlers, Collector Customs Sambrial, Seven Appeals versus National Machinery, Collector Customs Lahore, Nine Appeals versus Nextec Polymer, Collector Customs Lahore, Five Appeals versus Hafiz Plastic, Omer Farooq versus Customs Faisalabad.

Furthermore, the tribunal hears five case of Pak Steel Independent, Abdul Azeem, Abdul Sattar, Abdul Saleem and Imran Sattar versus Customs Lahore Collector, Customs Multan versus Muhammad Suliman, Emco Independent versus customs Lahore, Muhammad Saddique versus Customs Faisalabad and Bashir Ahmed versus Customs Lahore.
