AFU receives Rs116m customs duty during 1st 15 days

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Air freight Unit Islamabad collected Rs116million customs duty during the initial 15 days of February FY2016-17. The AFU was assigned the target of Rs185million customs duty during the same month.

According to Khawaja Khuram Naeem, Additional Deputy Collector Islamabad, the AFU is not only expected to achieve the assigned CD target of current month but will also surpass the allocated revenue target.

The AFU collected Rs959.82million customs duty during the first half of Financial Year FY2016-17 whereas it generated Rs200.74million CD during December FY2016-17. The AFU earned Rs152.93million CD during the month of November FY2016-17.

During October FY2016-17, the AFU received Rs148.48million CD while it did Rs143.27million CD during September FY2016-17.

The AFU got Rs177.41million CD during August FY2016-17 whereas the AFU collected Rs136.99million customs duty during July FY2016-17.
