FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad has arrested a human trafficker named Zulfqar Ali during an action. The suspect belongs to tehsil Kallur Kot, district Bhakhar.
Sources told Customs Today that FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub-Inspectors Taimoor Haider and Abbas Bajwa conducted a raid over the whereabouts of the accused who running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after gulling amounts from them. The accused also gulled Rs350000 from complainant for sending him to Malaysia.
The FIA recovered original Pakistani passport and some copies of other passports from his possession. Checking the mobile phone of the accused, scanned copies of FIRs, affidavits, CNICs of different people, sticker-visas of Malaysia, electronic tickets, bank transaction receipts and whatsapp conversation with different agents regarding the employment visas for different countries were also found.
The FIA sent the accused behind bars after registering a case No. 75/17 of human smuggling under Section (U/S) 17/22 Immigration Ordinance-1979. Further investigation is underway.
