ISLAMABAD: Former Finance Minister, Dr Salman Shah on Tuesday said that Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) is a very important organisation and its purpose was to establish a free trade zone among member countries.
He said that Turkey, Pakistan and Iran played a pivotal role in this organisation. It would be a huge breakthrough if ECO countries join China Pakistan Economic Corridor project (CPEC), he added. Dr Salman Shah said that all ECO member countries should take ownership and decide a framework for economic development ofthe region.
