Pakistan plays vital role in promoting trade with Central Asian states: Afzal

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal on Wednesday said that Pakistan could play vital role in promoting trade activities with Central Asian states.  Talking to a private news channel, he said that Pakistan was fully capable to provide transit facility to other countries with better road links.

Rana Afzal said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had played vital role in hosting Economic Cooperation Organization summit in Pakistan. Pakistan could play a key role due to connectivity with regional countries, he added.

To a question, he said that stability in Afghanistan was in the interest of the region. To another question, he said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor was in favour of both the countries.

He said that trade with regional countries would help benefit the people of all the countries.

Replying to a question he said that decision for holding Pakistan Super League final match in Lahore would help promote international cricketing here.
