E&T not honouring SC’s ruling on handover of 300 vehicles to customs

ISLAMABAD: The Department of Excise and Taxation is not willing to hand over around 300 Non-Duty Paid vehicles to Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar whereas the Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered that only a special judge of the customs court can decide something on this issue.

According to MCC Peshawar, KP police have handed over 104 NDP vehicles undervalued millions of rupees to the Customs Department Peshawar whereas the Excise and Taxation did not yet provide any NDP vehicle to MCC despite SC’ orders. Till today the KP police have handed over five NDPs to Peshawar, 22 NDP vehicles to Mardan, 21 to Shar Garah, 44 to GI Khan, four to Kohat, four to Banu and other four to Kohat Tanal.
