KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation issued the reference values for electric soup kettle 800W and STD/LED heat gun (1800 watts).
According to details, the Directorate General initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.
During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it has been observed that electric soup kettle 800W falling under PCT heading 8516.7990 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.
The Directorate, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys.
The Directorate, therefore, found that the customs values of Electric Soup Kettle 800W are as electric soup kettle 800W China origin 50 per piece,
Meanwhile, the Directorate General issued another Valuation for STD/LED heat gun (1800 watts). The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, found that the customs values of STD/LED heat gun (1800watts) are as STD/LED heat gun (1800watts) China origin US$25 per piece.
These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made after considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.
