Sialkot Excise issues notices to 10000 tax defaulters

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department , while tightening its circle around its  chronic defaulters, has issued the final recovering notices to around 10000 defaulters in Gujranwala division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts, besides, issuing their arrest warrants ,advising the defaulters to ensure the early clearance of their prolonged pending arrears within two weeks otherwise, their properties would be locked up and auctioned with the help of the local courts after this final deadline given them, in this regard.

According to the senior officials, the Excise & Taxation Department has already constituted as many as 100 recovery teams in Gujranwala division for recovering more than Rs.2 billion in shape of property, professional and other taxes in the fiscal year 2016-17 as well.
