Sukkur ASO impounds Toyota Surf valued Rs01.2

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate’s Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sukkur Division impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Surf modelled 1998 without registration worth Rs01.2 involving duty and taxes of Rs01.5 during a crackdown in Ghotki,Sukkur division.

According to details, Collector Agha Shahid Majeed Khan received a tip-off about a non-duty paid and without registration vehicle in Ghotki. He immediately constituted a special team under the supervision of Additional Collector Rahmatullah Vistro.

The ASO team started searching vehicles near Ghotki and intercepted a Toyota Surf without registration modeled 1998. The team asked the driver to show documents regarding the legal import and possession of the vehicle but he failed to do anything asked for by the officials.

The ASO team impounded the vehicle and registered a case against the accused under the customs bylaws.

The ASO team deposited the impounded vehicle into the Sukkur State Warehouse and forwarded the case to the customs adjudication for further proceeding.

The ASO raiding team comprised Superintendent Shabbir Phulpoto, Inspectors, sepoys and a driver.
