Greece stocks lower at closing of trade; Athens General-Composite lost 0.93%

ATHENS: Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.93%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 13.07% or 1.53 points to trade at 13.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 5.37% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.1560 and Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) was up 4.48% or 0.0380 points to 0.8870 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.60% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.179 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 7.69% or 0.008 points to end at 0.096 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was down 7.29% or 0.025 points to 0.318.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 38 and 24 ended unchanged.

Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 13.07% or 1.53 to 13.24.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.10% or 1.25 to $1227.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.26% or 0.14 to hit $53.19 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $55.92 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.0593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8646.

The US Dollar Index Futures was aup 0.22% at 101.57.
