Customs earns Rs172.99m more CD & ST during eight months

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad generated Rs172.99million more Customs Duty and Sales Tax during eight months of Financial Year 2016-17 than the assigned target.

According to Collector MCC Islamabad, the collectorate surpassed its both targets of CD and ST as MCC collected Rs3435.42million CD during said period whereas the collectorate was assigned the target of Rs3313.00million. In this way, the MCC received more revenue of Rs122.42million than the above said CD target.

The MCC collected Rs3013.00million Sales Tax during eight months against the assigned target of Rs3063.57million whereas the collectorate surpassed the assigned target with more amount of Rs50.57million.

In this stage the collectorate is planning to meet the targets of third quarter of current financial year. The collectorate will surpass the set revenue targets as it is focusing on all the customs stations working under the jurisdiction of MCC Islamabad.
