Dubai Chamber panel of judges select winner of MRM Business Award

DUBAI: A panel of judges recently met to select the winners of 9th cycle of the annual Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the 1st cycle of the MRM Business Innovation Award. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, the United Arab Emirates’s minister of economy and chairman of the MRM Business Award, chaired the panel. Joining him on the panel were Mohammed Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Shehhi, undersecretary for economic affairs at the UAE’s Ministry of Economy; Fadi F. Farra, co-founder and partner at Whiteshield Partners; Angela Kok and Selvakumar Shanmugam of Management Committee SPRING – Singapore Quality Award; and Duke Urbanik, co-founder of the Venture Generator and Yes! Delft Entrepreneur in Residence.

The steering committee for the MRM Business Award was led by Hamad Buamim, president & CEO of the Dubai Chamber and Dr. Belaid Rettab, senior director of the economic research and sustainable business development sector. Winners of the awards were announced at a ceremony organized by the Chamber at Madinat Jumeirah Arena. The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. Government departments, dignitaries, Dubai Chamber officials, business leaders and members of the local and regional media attended the event.
