Zulfiqar Younas assumes charge as director Customs I&I Lahore

LAHORE: Zulfiqar Younas has assumed the charge of director of customs Intelligence and Investigations Lahore after relinquishing his charge as collector of Customs Preventive Lahore.

As per details Zulfiqar Younas assumed the responsibilities of his new charge as director of Intelligence and Investigations after relinquishing the charge of collector of Customs Preventive.

Younas has been working on various posts in Lahore including Director of Directorate of Training and Research Lahore, Collector of Customs Preventive. Younas is known as one of the most competent officers of the customs department.

During his period at the DGTR Lahore introduced and initiated a number of training for staff, officers and businessmen of Lahore who benefitted from the trainings and seminars.

Similarly, he also worked extensively at the collectorate of Preventive Lahore and brought about a number of reforms by digitalizing Anti-Smuggling Organization, airport and all the other establishments of the collectorate.

He has been posted to the post of director Customs Intelligence and Investigations in the large scale reshufflings in the department.

Sources said that Customs I&I director Zulfiqar Younas has started holding meetings with the customs staff and officers in order to overcome smuggling and related activities.

He has instructed all the field forces of Customs Intelligence and Investigations to be vigilant and adopt zero tolerance against smuggling of any type.
