KARACHI: The Directorate General of Reforms and Automation has almost completed its working on making the “Manufacturing Bond” facility online, it is learnt here.
The sources informed Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue through a letter has asked Pakistan Customs to ensure introduction of “Manufacturing Bond Module” in the automated system of clearance i.e. Web Based One Customs (WeBOC) for safe and secure transactions.
The sources informed this scribe that the Director General of the Directorate General of R&A in a meeting with the Director R&A Wajid Ali has directed the officers and officials to start working on making the Manufacturing Bond Module in WeBOC.
Replying to a query, the sources informed that the R&A authorities have completed 90 percent working on the said module adding that the remaining 10 percent working over the module would be completed in 10 to 15 days.
Responding to another query, the sources revealed that the Chief Collector-Enforcement South has already directed the authorities concerned of the Directorate General of Reforms & Automation that the said module would be implemented through WeBOC by 1st April, 2017.
“By the implementation of Manufacturing Bond Module in WeBOC, all licenses would be issued through computerized system and all related data would be uploaded in the system”, sources informed.
