Kohat Auction Cell earns Rs50.34m after imposing duties & surcharges on auctioned goods

ISLAMABAD: The Kohat Auction Cell earned Rs50.34million after imposing all duties and surcharges on the auctioned goods during five months (October to February) Financial Year 2016-17.

According to Customs Station Kohat that during above said period, Kohat Auction Cell held five auctions of confiscated smuggled goods, impounded Non-Duty Paid (NDP) vehicles and offending vehicles (vehicles used for smuggling).

During the month of February, the Kohat Auction Cell collected Rs9.06million CD whereas it did Rs3.24million ST. The Kohat Auction Cell earned Rs1.63million AIT while it earned Rs13.93million total duty taxes during the said month.

During January, the auction cell received Rs4.13million CD whereas it did Rs07million ST and collected Rs0.27million AIT. The same cell got Rs0.15million FEDI and the total collection of all the duty taxes was Rs4.62million during said period.

During the month of December, it collected Rs10.89million CD whereas it did Rs2.04million ST. It earned Rs0.96million AIT and it did Rs0.28million FEDI. The total collection of all taxes was Rs14.17million during December 2016-17.

During the month of November FY2016-17, the Kohat earned Rs2.05million CD while it did Rs0.17million ST and it also collected Rs0.18million AIT. In this way, the Kohat collected Rs2.40million during January FY16-17. During the month of October FY2016-17, the Kohat generated Rs11.61million CD whereas it did Rs2.31million ST and it also collected Rs1.30million AIT. The Kohat collected Rs15.22million total duty taxes during above said month.
