Central Region collects Rs9618m WHT from July 2016 to Feb 2017

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs9618 million withholding tax (WHT) during July 2016 to February 2017 of current financial year 2016-17.

As per details the Customs Appraisement collected Rs 4262 million WHT during the period from July to February financial year 2016-17. Similarly, Customs Preventive collected Rs5117 million WHT during the period under review.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs152 million WHT during the period under review. The Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad has collected Rs85 million WHT while same period last financial year it has collected Rs 185 million.

Overall the central region collected total WHT from all the four Collectrate worth Rs 9618 million during the period under review.

It is necessary to mention here that the Central Region has been assigned Rs 11038 million WHT collection target against the same target which was assigned for the period from July to February.

Sources said that the collectors of all the four collectorate has been told to exert their full influence to meet financial year’s targets while the customs Central Region Chief Collector Zeba Hai Azhar has also been monitoring all the revenue collection from all stations that come under the limits of Central Region.
