‘NAB’s campaign on “SAY NO TO CORRUPTION” remained very successful’

LAHORE: Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB, chaired a meeting to review the latest progress on NAB’s Awareness and Prevention campaign on ”SAY NO TO CORRUPTION” at NAB Headquarters.
The chairman NAB said Pakistan is a role model for SAARC countries in eradication of corruption as Pakistan is the only country who’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI), according to Transparency International Report, has been decreased from 126 to 116. He said Pakistan has been selected the first Chairman of SAARC Anti-Corruption Forum which is a great achievement for Pakistan against corruption in pursuance of Section 33C of National Accountability Ordinance (NAO).

Under the NAB’s Awareness and Prevention campaign across the country, the NAB has been engaging different Governmental, Non-Governmental Organizations, media, Civil Society and other segments of society in order to aware people about the ill-effects of corruption. He said as per the positive feedback received from various segments of society about NAB’s Awareness and Prevention campaign on “SAY NO TO CORRUPTION” has been very encouraging as print and electronic media gave extensive coverage to highlight this national cause throughout the country which is appreciative.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said the corruption is a root-cause of all evils.
