Smuggled goods & vehicles valued Rs10.30m impounded

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Islamabad impounded various smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs10.30million during 11 to 17th of March FY2016-17.

The Car Cell of ASO impounded two Non-Customs Duty Paid (NDP) vehicles valued Rs06million during above said period whereas the ASO seized two offending vehicles (vehicles carrying smuggled goods) worth Rs2.300million.

During said period, the ASO confiscated 900 yards smuggled fabrics worth Rs0.425million while the ASO seized 1570 kilogram of food grains priced Rs0.821million. The ASO seized 38 auto parts worth Rs0.01197million.

During March 11 to 17, the ASO seized 1100 cartons of foreign origin fake cigarettes valued Rs0.606million whereas it seized worth Rs0.155million cigarettes.
