Wyoming unemployment rate falls

CHEYENNE: Wyoming’s unemployment rate has fallen slightly to 4.7 percent in February. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 4.8 percent in January. The February jobless rate was significantly lower than in February 2016, which it stood at 5.3 percent.

From January to February, most county unemployment rates followed their normal seasonal pattern and decreased slightly. Johnson, Natrona, Campbell and Big Horn counties posted the largest declines in their jobless rates. Fremont County posted the highest unemployment rate in February at 6.9 percent, followed by Natrona at 6.8 percent, Campbell 6 percent and Sublette 5.8 percent. The lowest unemployment rates among counties were in Teton, Goshen and Albany, all at 2.8 percent.
