Multan ASO impounds vehicles & goods worth Rs214.26m from July to March 26

MULTAN: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has impounded smuggled vehicles and miscellaneous items valued Rs214.26million from July to 26th of March of Fiscal Year 2016-17.
The Multan Anti-smuggling Organization has intercepted 72 various non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs116.2million. These seized vehicles include expensive and luxurious vehicles of various brands and models including Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes Benz, Toyota Crown, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Toyota Passo, Toyota Fielder, Premio, Suzuki Alto, Hilux Surf.
The Multan Customs has lost two Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization employees during the crackdown against smugglers in this period.
The Anti-Smuggling Organization has detected 30 various seizures worth Rs93.7million of goods and articles including 14 kilogram gold and foreign currency from Multan International Airport and their territory to prevent smuggling.
The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has seized only 57 vehicles valued Rs158million and registered 49 various seizure cases of Rs49.7million during the corresponding period of Fiscal Year 2015-16.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has taken effective measures to curb smuggling in the region by taking stern action against smuggled goods and vehicles in the same period.
