Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position

KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $21,795.9 million on 24 March 2017. A statement of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said here on Thursday that the break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: Foreign reserves held by the SBP $16,730.3  million, Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks $5,065.6 million, Total liquid foreign reserves: $ 21,795.9 million.

During the week ending 24 March 2017, the SBP’s reserves decreased by $ 230 million to $ 16,730 million, the statement added.
