ISLAMABAD: Chairman Standing Committee on Finance in National Assembly Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Monday said despite the difference of opinion on various matters, all political parties should join hands with the government in its agenda to further boost the economy of the country. The government was determined to overcome power loadshedding by the end of year 2017, he said talking to PTV. He said there has been increase in electricity demand due to rising temperature in the country which resulted loadshedding in the country.
Hydel power was cheapest source to produce electricity and focus of the government was to launch more hydel power projects, he said.
He said Qaiser Sheikh said in order to enhance power generation capacity, there was need to develop consensus to build more dams in the country.
