Thai Stock Exchange up 2.96 points

BANGKOK: The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 0.19%, or 2.96 points, to 1,583.82 on Tuesday.

Total trading value was 37.3 billion baht, with 11.6 billion shares changed hands. SET50 index gained 0.16%, or 1.59 points, to 1,000.98 in trade worth 22.4 billion baht.

MAI fell 0.03%, or 0.18 points, to 598.83 in transactions worth 2.3 billion baht. Institutional investors bought a net 1.2 billion baht, followed by brokers (598.5 million) and foreigners (83.5 million). Small investors sold 1.9 billion baht.

Year-to-date, institutional investors were net buyers of 28.6 billion baht, followed by foreigners (7.7 billion) and brokers (39.2 million). Individual investors sold 36.4 billion baht.
