Hyderabad customs earns Rs1234.720m against Rs1415.36m target in March

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate generated Rs1234.720 million customs duties and taxes during March 2017 against the set target of Rs 1415.36 million.

The collectorate received Rs342.361 million Customs Duty (CD) against the set target of Rs269.66 million.

The collectorate branch was assigned revenue collection target of Rs1.104 million against the allocated Sales Tax of Rs876.757 million.

It collected Rs 01.000 million Federal Excise Duty (FED) against the set target of Rs3.7 million.

It got Rs 14.602 million Income Tax during the above said period against the set target of Rs 38 million.

The major tax sources were Hyderabad Dry Port, Sukkur and Larkana Divisions, Hyderabad State Ware House Huffaz Seamless Pipe Industries, Crescent Steel, Omni Polymer Industries, Rema Cooking Oil and Pakistan State Oil ( PSO). The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) also seized non-duty paid goods including vehicles worth millions of rupees during March 2017.

Under the supervision of Hyderabad Customs Collector Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, Additional Collector (HQ) Rehmatulah Vistro, Deputy Collector Shahid Ali Abbasi, Deputy Collector Mushtaque Ali Shani and Superintendent Statistical Revenue Mohammad Yaqoob Pasha played important roles in revenue collection, officials said.

The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad, State Warehouse, has fetched Rs0748million to the national exchequer through auction of smuggled items in the month of March 2017.

The smuggled items, including cumin and soaps, earned Rs 0748m duty and taxes during the month of March 2017.

Model Customs State Warehouse Hyderabad Assistant Collector Shahid Iqbal and his team comprised Superintendent Nadeem Ahmed Usman, Inspectors Abdul Rauf Qureshi, Inspector Muhammad Sharif and Havaldar Muhammad Hussain.
