PHSADC, PITAC join hands for industrial uplift of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Hunting & Sporting Arms Development Company (PHSADC) and Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for organizing and jointly conducting training courses for the technical assistance, training initiatives to further strengthen and support students through skill development/training programmes.

PITAC is an organization of the Ministry of Industries and Production (MoI&P), Government of Pakistan that provides engineering solution to both public and private sector industries and technical & managerial trainings to industrial personnel, engineers & technicians while PHSADC is also established by the same Ministry as a subsidiary of Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) and is mandated to promote quality hunting and sporting arms & accessories in Pakistan and its promotion in the international market.

Under the agreement, PITAC will provide computer based technical trainings to the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) through its regional centre while formal practical training will be imparted at Common Facilitation and Training Centre (CFTC) of the PHSADC at Small Industrial Estate (SIDB) Kohat Road, Peshawar.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PHSADC, Tahir Nawaz Khattak signed the MoU on behalf of their company while Director General (DG) PITAC, Engineer Sarfaraz Ahmad, PITAC Regional Centre, KP represented his organization.

Additional Secretary, Ministry of Industries and Production (MoIP), Sardar Ajaz Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion to witness the MoU signing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Ministry of Industries and Production is taking practical steps for industrial development in the country and termed the agreement between PITAC and PHSADC a step forward in this regard. The initiative will help to generate employment opportunities in the province.

Earlier, the Additional Secretary, MoIP, Sardar Ajaz Ahmad formally inaugurated the Regional Office of PITAC in Peshawar.
