RTO issues tax recovery notice to film star Noor

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a notice to film star Noor for alleged tax evasion as she had failed to submit income tax returns during the tax year 2015-16

Source told Customs Today that a tax recovery notice has been issued under Section 122(5)(A) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and if the film star did not reply to the department within a specific period then the FBR will take action to recover the income tax liability from her.

The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued tax notice to the film actress Noor on tax evasion. Sources said that the Inland Revenue Officer directed the film star to clear outstanding tax liability within 15 days otherwise the department will take legal action against her to recover the amount.
