ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta confiscated 1612,082 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel worth Rs91.136million during three quarters (July to March) of Financial Year (FY 2016-17). Quetta seized 2933,051 liters of smuggled diesel during corresponding year 2015-16. The Auction Cell of MCC Quetta earned revenue Rs87.329million from auction of smuggled diesel during nine months of FY 2016-17. The Quetta Auction Cell earned revenue of Rs143.08million from auction of diesel during same period of corresponding year 2015-16.
According to details by the document provided to Customs Today that during July to March FY16-17, the MCC Quetta seized smuggled diesel worth Rs91.136million whereas it seized smuggled Iranian diesel valued Rs175.4731million during same period of corresponding Financial Year 2015-16.
The document showed that as the MCC Quetta earned amount of Rs56.97million under the head of all duty taxes and it earned Rs97.54million of duty taxes during same period of corresponding year 2015-16.
