Deputy Collector Asma issues notice to owner of NDP vehicle

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued a show cause notice to the owner of a non-duty paid Toyota Crown car.

As per details the Customs Intelligence team intercepted a ToyotaCrown car bearing registration no. ID- 4272 from Jumra Road.  Customs team asked the driver, who was identified as Muhammad Safdar Ranjha to show documents regarding legal import and possession of the vehicle but he  remained failed to produce any required documents.

The customs officials impounded the non-duty paid vehicle and sent the case to the Customs Adjudication for further legal action against the suspect.

The adjudication directed the accused to file reply on the next hearing of date i.e 21.7.2017. The adjudication also directed Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan to attend the hearing along with relevant record.

The customs adjudication issued notice to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A, 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969 and directed the accused to file his reply by given time.

It is pertinent to mention that the adjudication has boost up the hearing to conclude the hearing of the pending cases on priority basis.
