Central Region collects Rs 10941m WHT till April 15

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs10941 million withholding tax (WHT) during July to April 15 of financial year 2016-17.

As per details the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs4773 million WHT during the period from July to April 15 of financial year 2016-17.

Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs5895 million WHT during the period under review.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs174 million WHT during the period under review. The Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad has collected Rs98 million WHT.

Overall the Central Region collected total WHT from all the four Collectorate worth Rs 10941 million during the period under review.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Central Region has been assigned Rs 0941 million WHT collection target against the same target for the period. Sources said that the collectors of all the four Collectorate has been told to exert their full influence to meet financial year’s targets while the Customs Central Region Chief Collector Zeba Hai Azhar has also been holding meetings with the collectors of all the stations that come under the limits of the Central Region.
