LAHORE: Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has directed Punjab Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) president Ijaz Ch to submit his income tax details before next hearing of his petition against a media campaign by the ruling PML-N.

The court during the course of hearing observed that the petitioner should show his good intent before seeking a reply from the government. Petitioner’s counsel Shahid Gondal argued that prime minister and Punjab chief minister were custodians of national exchequer and they could not spend this money for their personal gains. He said the public money was not for the personal promotion of the ruling party. He stated that newspapers were full of such campaign with photos of the PM and CM and the government was paying for these advertisements. He asked the court to restrain the government from spending money from national exchequer for personal gains of the rulers. Justice Shah adjourned hearing by December 18.
